Cheyenne Newcomers Meet

The Cheyenne High School Newcomers meet will be held on Friday March 11th with a start time 3:30 pm.  The meet will be open to high school athletes of all grade levels as long as it is their first year in participating in track and field. There will be no relays contested during the meet.  Since there will be no relays, the first event contested will be the Boys 110m HH.  No team scores will be kept.      

Entries:  There is no entry fee, and there are no limits on the number of athletes you may enter per event.  Remember the only restriction is the athlete must be new to track.  Submit your entries through athletic.net by Wednesday March 9th at 6:00 pm.  Any additions or scratches can be done in the press box before the meet starts.    

Field Events:  Athletes participating in shot put, discus, long jump, or tripl e jump will have 3 attempts during the event.  The long jump and triple jump pit will be open for 1 hour.  Boy’s high jump will start at 5’00” and girls will start at 4’00”.

There will be a full concession stand.  Replacement spikes will also be sold in the concession stand if your new athletes happen to need 3/16” spikes. The meet will be hand timed by SNOA, and results will be uploaded into athletic.net.
